The Seeds of Spirit sculpture explores sacred geometric form as found throughout the natural world, showcasing Fibonacci Sequences encompassed within the growth patterns of the pine cone. Crafted from Norfolk Island Pine, the transmutational properties of this remarkable wood species allow it to glow like amber when thin sections are backlit.

The pine cone is a powerful symbol of positive transformation, renewal, illumination and most significantly the potential to achieve enlightenment. It is closely associated with the pineal gland, whose anatomical form resembles a pine cone. In Eastern cultures, the pineal gland is considered the seat of the third eye, which opens during peaks of spirituality, facilitating perception beyond the ordinary.

Reinforcing the third eye reference, the art glass “eye” at the heart of the sculpture represents the transformational work belonging to the Usona institute.
